[Northampton County, PA] – In recognition of April as National Donate Life Month, Northampton County Executive Lamont G. McClure is honored to host a press conference and flag-raising ceremony at the Northampton County Forensic Center. This event will take place on April 14, 2025, at 11 AM, in collaboration with Gift of Life Donor Program, which serves Northampton County and is one of the nation’s leading organ procurement organizations (OPO), thanks to the generosity of our community.
The partnership between Northampton County and Gift of Life is invaluable. It plays a crucial role in supporting families through the donation process in local hospitals and coordinating the recovery of precious organs to provide life-saving transplants to those in need. During this event, Executive McClure will address the importance of organ donation and how community awareness can lead to more lives being saved.
Residents, media representatives, and advocates for organ donation are encouraged to attend the ceremony as we honor those who have given the gift of life and promote awareness of the critical need for more registered organ donors. Gift of Life is rallying our community to add 50,000 people to the national donor registry to honor its 50 years of service. Everyone is encouraged to learn more about donation and sign up at donors1.org.
