Northampton County Parks
There are 20 parks and conservation areas in the Northampton County Parks System encompassing 2,205 acres of green space. These public lands provide outdoor recreation opportunities, relaxation and solitude, greenways, trails and natural resource protection for everyone who lives, works and plays in Northampton County.
Pavilion & Picnic Areas
Picnic pavilions and open space picnic areas are available for rent by groups of ten or more at three Northampton County Parks: Louise W. Moore, Wayne A. Grube and Wy-Hit-Tuk. Tennis courts are also available for rent by organized groups at Louise W. Moore Park. Additionally, camping and a picnic pavilion are available by reservation for organized groups at
Bear Swamp Park. An organized group camping area is also available by reservation at Wy-Hit-Tuk Park.
For information about group camping at Wy-Hit-Tuk Park, call the Parks Recreation Specialist at
(610) 829-6404. All other park facility reservations must be made online. All reservations are final. There are no refunds or cancellations; no exceptions.
Rental reservations are not required for groups of less than ten, for which picnic pavilions, open space picnic areas and tennis courts are available on a first come-first serve basis. However, rental reservations are given priority for the use of these facilities. Reserving a picnic pavilion, open space picnic area or tennis court ensures that you and your group have the facility when you want it, and it will be available that day exclusively for your use. With the exception of organized group camping at Bear Swamp and Wy-Hit-Tuk Parks, night fishing at Minsi Lake and extreme weather events, all Northampton County Parks are open for day use only, from sunrise to sunset, 365 days a year.
Community Garden Plots
Community garden plots are available to the public by reservation. Plots are located at Louise W. Moore Park (pictured) and the Diefenderfer Tract.
There is currently a waiting list at both locations, however to inquire about garden plot availability or for more information about Northampton County Parks Community Gardens, call the Parks Recreation Specialist at (610) 829-6404.
Camping
With the exception of organized group camping at Wy-Hit-Tuk Park and Bear Swamp Park, all other park facility reservations must be made online. See Reservation of Parks Facilities to make all other park facility reservations. Call the Parks Recreation Specialist at (610) 829-6404 to make organized group camping reservations at Wy-Hit-Tuk Park or Bear Swamp Park.
Please read the Park Reservation Instructions before making your online reservation. See the Parks Fee Schedule for facility reservation fees, pavilion capacities and other park facilities information. All reservations are final. There are no refunds or cancellations; no exceptions.
