Historical Interest: Part of the former 1,000-acre Moravian settlement of Gnadenthal, German for "Dale of Grace," first established in 1744. In 1837, the Moravian Church sold the land to Northampton County as the site for the County poor house, which in more modern times, became the Gracedale Nursing Home.
