The Children, Youth and Families Division Advisory Board participate in, evaluate and promote programs for children and youth. The board is comprised of representatives of a cross section of Northampton County residents concerned about children and the services offered to them. Members are appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by County Council.

The Board advises and helps the Administrator in such matters as: 

  •  The development of the Annual County Services Plan and Budget Estimate. 
  •  The development and promotion of better understanding of the programs and objectives of the Children and Youth Social Services.
  •  The recruitment of personnel. 
  •  Recommending to the County Executive on matters referred to them, for consideration or advice, as required to promote the effectiveness of social services to children and youth and their families.

 Youth Advisory Board

​The Youth advisory Board is comprised of youth and alumni 16 and older from the child welfare system from all over Pennsylvania. The goal is to educate, advocate and form partnerships to create positive change in the child welfare system. Funding is provided by the PA Department of Public Welfare, Office of Children, Youth and Families and supported by the University of Pittsburgh, School of Social Work and The Child Welfare Resource Center.
