RULE N573.101. TIME LIMITS FOR DISCOVERY AND EXTENSION OF TIME.
(a) Whenever a defendant has filed pursuant to Pennsylvania Rule of Criminal Procedure 573 an Informal Request for Pretrial Discovery, the District Attorney's office shall file written answers to said Request within ten (10) days of receipt of said Request, unless counsel for the defendant has agreed with the office of the District Attorney to extend the time for preparing and filing answers.
(b) Failure to respond within the time limit set forth above to a defendant's Informal Request for Pretrial Discovery shall result in an automatic extension of time for the defendant to file a Motion to Compel Discovery pursuant to Pennsylvania Rule of Criminal Procedure 573A and an Omnibus Pretrial Motion for Relief pursuant to Pennsylvania Rule of Criminal Procedure 578 until ten (10) days following receipt of a response from the office of the District Attorney for defendant's Informal Request for Pretrial Discovery.
(c) The time limit for filing a Motion to Compel Discovery pursuant to Pennsylvania Rule of Criminal Procedure 573A may be extended by agreement evidenced in writing between the attorney for the defendant and the office of the District Attorney.
(d) The time limit for filing an Omnibus Pretrial Motion for Relief pursuant to Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure 578 and 579 may be extended by agreement evidenced in writing between the attorney for the defendant and office of the District Attorney.
(e) Where there is an outstanding Request for Pretrial Discovery, which the office of the District Attorney has agreed to answer, either in all or in part, there shall be deemed to be an automatic extension of time for filing any Omnibus Pretrial Motion for Relief, or Motion to Compel Further Discovery, until ten (10) days following receipt of said answers.
