ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
AND NOW, this 13th day of March, 2020, it appearing that the Medical Director of the Northampton County Juvenile Justice Center, Dr. Albert DeFranco, has recommended that public access to the Northampton County Juvenile Justice Center be prohibited, and that entrance to the building be limited to staff and essential personnel, and that residents within the facility have restricted access to the public to limit the risk of exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is ORDERED and DECREED that for all juvenile dependency and delinquency proceedings:
(1) All juvenile dependency and delinquency proceedings shall take place at the Northampton County Courthouse in a Courtroom designated by the Court Administrator. No juvenile dependency or delinquency proceedings shall occur in the Juvenile Justice Center; and
(2) All juveniles are excused from appearing in person for juvenile dependency or delinquency proceedings unless specifically directed to appear in person by a Judge, Hearing Officer, or Juvenile Probation Officer. Residents in the custody and/or care of the Juvenile Justice Center will appear via audio-visual polycom for all court proceedings allowed per the Juvenile Act.
