N120.101 Attorneys - Appearances

RULE N120.101. ATTORNEYS APPEARANCES.

(a) In all proceedings before any district justice, defense counsel shall enter a general or limited entry of appearance in the office of the appropriate magisterial district prior to under taking the representation of any defendant. In the event such representation is solely for purposes of preliminary arraignment, bail and/or the conducting of a preliminary hearing, the entry of appearance shall so specifically state such limited purpose.
 
(b) In all subsequent proceedings before the Court in which counsel has previously represented the defendant before the district justice through a limited entry of appearance, defense counsel shall file a general entry of appearance in the Office of the Clerk of Courts Criminal Division prior to any further representation of the defendant.
